Biography of Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman (Hebrew: פורטמן נטלי, born Natalie Hershlag June 9, 1981 (30 years)) is an Israeli actress. His first role was in 1994 (17 years) independent film Leon (known in America as a professional). They came to fame after playing Padmé Amidala wide Star Wars prequel trilogy. THE EARLY YEARS
Natalie Portman was born Hershlag (Hebrew: נטלי הרשלג) in Jerusalem, Israel. Her father, Avner Hershlag, is an Israeli physician who specializes in fertility and reproduction (reproductive endocrinology). Her mother, Shelley Stevens, is an American homemaker who now works as her agent. Portman maternal ancestors were Jews from Austria and Russia, and his paternal ancestors were Jews who immigrated to Israel from Poland and Romania. The parents of his paternal grandfather died in Auschwitz and her Romanian-born great-grandmother was a spy for the British during World War II.
Portman parents met at a Jewish student center at Ohio State University, where his mother was selling tickets. His father returned to Israel, and the two are married and when his mother visited Israel a few years later.
